Oops… i just heard about it. I don’t want to believe it and pray it is not true. Apparently, the news (rumour? i hope so…) around is that he is expected to announce his retirement during the Italian Gran Prix in Monza.
I know once he does it, there will be lot of articles posted in every possible media about him. But more than him i guess we should focus on F1. He is the biggest crowd puller among all F1 drivers. F1 races will be reduced to monotonous drive thru’s because of absence of all the tricks and mischiefs he does on the field. I haven’t seen anybody else attempting them yet and those are the precise moments of F1 that people like.
Unless F1 makes some rule changes to make the game more exciting, it will be a big big loss to F1.
